Vision of the Organization:
Healthy smiling children, adolescents and youth in every community.
Mission of the Organization:
To improve the wellbeing of children, adolescents and youth living with chronic illnesses by the use of peer led interventions to provide treatment, psychosocial and skilling support.
About Us
Miles of Smiles Foundation supports children,
adolescents, and youth living with or affected
by chronic illnesses such as HIV, Tuberculosis,
Sickle Cell Disease, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular diseases. The Foundation’s focus on
non-clinical support remains paramount
because living with such conditions requires
more than clinical support; it requires a balance of both clinical and psychosocial support. The foundation continues to use a
peer-based approach to provide psychosocial
support, life skills training, and financial support because it believes that the only person
who can support you to overcome your challenges is one who has gone through them.
That is why it has a Youth Advisory Committee
(YAC) consisting of young people living with
the chronic illnesses it focuses on to guide
and support its programming from designing
to evaluation
